The coastal and attractive area of Buik Chekmeje
In the Turkish language, Buyukcekmeje means big drawer, in the southwest of Istanbul, there are two lakes that are located at a short distance from each other, named Buyukcekmeje and Koçukcekmeje, these two lakes are pulled out from the body of Istanbul like two drawers.
One is small and one is big, that’s why the big lake is called Buik Chekmeje and the small lake is called Kochuk Chekmeje.
Buyuk Cekmece Grand Wharf is one of the areas of the European part of Istanbul, which is located in the southwest of this part. Buyuk Chekmeje has a coastal strip with the Sea of Marmara from the south.
With its beautiful nature, the long beach with the Sea of Marmara and the location of Lake Buyuk Chekmjeh in it, the Buyuk Chekmeje area is mostly welcomed by visitors in the summer season.
